I feel so pleased to have been selected to participate as an editor on the National Film and Television School's Craft Residential programme as part of the BFI Film Academy Scheme.
I've just met my group for the first time and it was so inspiring to be among these current and future professional filmmakers. We shared ideas on our script Good Grief and it was fascinating to hear everyone's opinions, ideas, thoughts, edits and suggestions.

Great to be taking the course after a year of covid cancellations and amazing to see everyone again.
It was an incredible experience to be able to edit a version of an NFTS graduation film The Comeback Kid and great to be taught by editors Richard Cox and Christopher Bird.
I've picked up so much invaluable knowledge about the craft of editing.
Part of their brilliant programme is being mentored by an established industry professional and I was lucky enough to have the amazing editor, Lesley Posso, who gave me great encouragement and careers advice.
September 2021
It was emotional to be back at NFTS this September and finally see everyone in person again. I had a great time at the BFI Film Academy 10-year celebration event at the BFI and I made some great networking connections.
So cool to be able to sound mix in the NFTS sound suite! I learnt so much about the importance of sound and how it can affect the mood of film.
And finally, the graduation! I've loved every second of the programme.

I am over the moon with my reference and certificate - a record of an incredible experience and one that I hope will be the start of a career working in film!
